Rochelle
This nomad of sorts, eager for adventure, spent
the years after high school graduation moving around California
in pursuit of the “new”. After a few semesters at Sierra
Junior College and Sacramento State, Rochelle took a break from
the books to follow her true passion in life, food. Rochelle’s
first big venture in this pursuit was a move to the west coast’s
“Big City”, San Francisco. In San Francisco, Rochelle
attended the California Culinary Academy and was trained in Le Cordon
Bleu Culinary Arts. While there, she was first introduced to the
world of wine outside Costco brand and was intrigued. Equipped with
her new knowledge, the journey continued, this time landing her
in New York City at Mario Batali’s Lupa Osteria Romana.
After experiencing the east coast’s “Big
City” she returned to San Francisco where she worked in the
kitchens of some of the city’s top restaurants including:
Town Hall and Restaurant Ame. As the adventure
unfolded Rochelle’s interest in wine grew, she tasted anything
she could get her hands on. It wasn’t until 2006 when Rochelle
moved to Santa Maria that she was introduced to Carina Cellars via
the Los Olivos Tasting Room. At this point she made the executive
decision to return to college, moved to Santa Rosa and graduated
from San Francisco State University with a degree in Communications.
She then moved Paso Robles, CA and joined the
opening crew for the new Carina Cellars Winery and Tasting Room
as the Executive Hospitality Manager. Contact Rochelle at (916)
