Carina Cellars is proud to welcome photographer Tory Grace to the tasting room. Tory Grace Burnside Clapp, a sixteen-year-old junior at Santa Ynez High School, is no newcomer to the field of photography. Tory uses photography as a way to experience her travels more fully, and she considers herself "a photographer of life." Most of Tory's photos now are taken with the Nikon D40 camera that she purchased for her 2009 trip to the UK and Ireland with the American Council for International Studies. Her photos from that trip, several of which are on display in her current show, earned her the Grand Prize in the 2009 ACIS travel photo competition in a field of over 12,000 entries. Later this summer she will be traveling abroad again, this time as a student ambassador for the cultural exchange organization People to People International, where it's likely her camera will seldom leave her hands. Carina Cellars is a proud sponsor of this fundraiser for CIMWI (Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute), to help raise money to feed the seal and sea lions rescued and rehabilitated at their facility on the Gaviota Coast.
