Carina Cellars is proud to welcome renowned image-maker Michael Hewes back to the Tasting Room for his second show. His focus has always been to create visual imagery that compels and moves, as he continuously explores new techniques and technologies that capture the essence of his subjects. Recent images for this show include photo-paintings that are mixed media images combining digital photographs that have been painted electronically and then retouched with acrylic paints onto canvas. The images are part of the Coastal Views collection that is inspired by open space in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Louis Obispo Counties. These iconic landscape views include famous surf breaks, ocean coves, rolling hills and distant views of our Channel Islands.
