Single-Vineyard Red Wines
One of the main reasons for purchasing our grapes
from different growers, is to experience the unique flavors and
aromas that are characteristic of grapes grown in certain vineyards.
For example Tierra Alta Vineyard in Los Olivos has a rich, limestone-based
soil that brings out slightly mineral tones in our Syrah. Yet Westerly
Vineyard, located in Happy Canyon at the base of the San Rafael
Mountains, has a rocky soil that forces the Syrah vines to stress,
bringing about grapes that create Syrahs with dark, intense flavors.

Petite Sirah, Sunset Ridge, Paso Robles
Move over Zinfandel, there's a new grape
in town! These are the words coming from a handful of winemakers
and vineyard growers in Paso Robles. Previously known as "Zin
Country" there are a growing number of Rhône varietals
being planted in this region and they are quickly making a
name for themselves.
Sunset
Ridge Vineyard focuses on sustainable farming and strives
to produce the best fruit possible while maintaining low yields.
With a burgeoning palate of cherries and blackberries and
aromas of vanilla and spice, this Petite Sirah lives up to
its reputation of intensity and flavor without the harsh tannins
expected from this thick skinned grape.
Perfect for a cozy winter night, enjoy this
wine now or hold for 5-7 years.
